Mozilla Drops Axe on its Privacy-Friendly Location Service

Mozilla has announced it is retiring its Mozilla Location Service (MLS), which provides accurate and privacy-respecting geolocation data. Developers and third-party projects currently use MLS to provide location data, such as FreeDesktop location framework GeoClue, leveraged by apps like GNOME’s Maps and Weather, have only a few months left to use it.
