🙌 It is unreasonable how much time the Source Control view in @code has saved me over the last year: no more wrangling with git at the command line, or spelunking through files to understand changes.
All you have to do is edit; click the ✔️, and add a commit message. Beautiful!
Visual Studio Code: 📢 Tip 17: The Source Control view in VS Code lets you stage specific changes only, so you can control what's part of your commit and what's still a WIP (Work In Progress) Then click on ✔️ to make a commit 🚀

#vscode quick tip 🎉
You can enable a permanent extra panel area at the right side 😱
Which means that you can finally get the space some of the "tree view" sections deserve 💪
I rarely used those before as the file tree was just way more important but now... why not both 🤷♂️😬

The October 2021 (version 1.62) update for @code is out. One nice change is that horizontal lines now outline the scope of a bracket pair.
PSA: With today's release of VS Code (1.62) we also addressed the "Trojan Source" vulnerability (CVE-2021-42574) 🛡 VS Code is now highlighting Unicode bidirectional control characters to flag their presence.

I wish I would realize that earlier in my career 🙃
You can instruct VSCode to hide node_modules, so any time you open some dependency code, you will see only this instead of a never-ending list of all modules that you would have to collapse first, to navigate through

Quick @code tip:
You can create project scoped snippets using a .code-snippets json file. I've got a quick code demo next week and this is a handy way to set that up.
