Did you checked something in by mistake or did you not switch to the right branch?
I always need to lookup that git reset --hard HEAD~1
But are you using @code ? Then simply use the Undo Last Commit option from the command pallet or UI!

Re PROFILES. Have you tried them? Hopefully so because it's one of the most request features. Ever. Enable with `workbench.experimental.settingsProfiles.enabled`.
