Re @GoCodeFinity Yes, dev containers can be a great tool in education! We actually have a blog post on this exact topic :)
Let us know what you think!
https://code.visualstudio.com/blogs/2020/07/27/containers-edu
Have you had a chance to try out development containers in VS Code? You can get started with this tutorial ➡️
Maksim Ivanov: VSCode dev containers are fantastic. Makes onboarding the new members so easy.
The actual machine is abstracted, so all the coding now happens inside a docker container
You can use git and all the other tools, and you can even specify what extensions should be installed

💡 Tip of the day: Use VS @code's "Remote - SSH extension" to open any folder on a remote machine using SSH.
Great for working with files on your #unix/#ubuntu boxes & take advantage of #vscode's full feature set (and avoid vim!)

Cool new feature: the @rhdevelopers 's YAML extension for @code now displays a link to the schema used to validate the current file, at the top.

Breakpoint style feature in vs @code Jupyter notebooks?! YUP!
You can do "run by line" to execute a cell line by line and a helpful variable window appears at the top in the "run by line" feature! YAY!
Complete new feature ✅ Make Git commit ✅ Merge conflict 🔃🛑 Ugh 😫
VS Code can help solve merge conflicts visually. Learn how 👉

We're looking at finally adding terminal tabs to @code soon. This month we explored what the UX should look like and have some mockups here:
I'd love to hear any feedback you have, we'll probably start on this in a couple of weeks.

🛠 @code tip:. The "expand/shrink" selection keyboard shortcut ⌃⇧⌘→ / ← isn't the easiest to remember, but ridiculously powerful. It recognises code block boundaries and selects accordingly!
