Ubuntu 22.04’s Snap-Only Software Store is a Bug, Not a Feature

I’ve seen a few folks mention that Ubuntu 22.04 no longer lets search for, browse, or install .deb packages from the Ubuntu repo using the Ubuntu Software app. Technically they’re not wrong as, at the time I write this, it doesn’t let you do that. But don’t panic: this is a bug. While some may want a Snap-only experience in Ubuntu, it’s a bit too early to roll with one — not to mention a controversial decision not suited to an LTS release!
